Trips to the Causeway
The ride out to the Cut in the Causeway, 10 miles north of downtown, takes about two hours round trip (20 miles) and runs about $70. Shorter distances cost less.
Most batteries are at or near 100% when you rent them — check the level on your display. Discharge depends on your speed, rider weight, wind, and temperature. On longer rides, check your battery on the way out and turn back around 50%. You can still pedal home if you run low, it's just more work.
Find a station along the waterfront
Stations are spaced along the Burlington bike path from the New North End down to Oakledge Park — look for the blue dock markers on the app map.
Riding to a spot without a station? Circle back before you end your trip. Bikes left outside a station keep the rental clock running and may be flagged as improperly parked.
Before you walk away
- 1Roll the bike into a designated bike rack and lock it. It can't be shut down anywhere else.
- 2Open the Ride Today app and swipe the power button right to end your ride.
- 3No open bike rack? Try the next nearest station rather than leaving the bike behind.
$200 retrieval fee applies to e-bikes not returned to a designated rack. All terms of the Rental Agreement apply.
